Pricing

Towing Costs and Payment

What goes into the price of a tow and what you should hear before a truck is sent.

Three things: distance, vehicle size, and the hour you call. Most quotes combine a base hook up fee with a charge per mile after the truck leaves the yard. You get a total estimate by phone before we dispatch. Read how we quote on our process page.

We do not add hidden fees. The estimate you hear by phone covers the whole job and is given before the truck rolls. Ask for the full amount, not just the hook up fee.

Sometimes. Certain after hours calls carry a small added charge, and heavy tows cost more because they use bigger trucks. Give us your time and place and we will quote the total.

Yes, when a vehicle is removed from private property without the owner agreeing. DPS sets maximum rates in a statewide tariff, and a city can set lower ones. That tariff also waives storage charges for the first 24 hours.

Response

Response Time and Availability

How soon we can reach you, when we answer, and where our trucks go.

That depends on how far the closest truck is and how traffic looks. The Perimeter at rush hour is slower than a side street at midday. Once a truck is assigned, you get an estimated arrival time.

Yes. Our dispatch line runs every day of the year, and a 3 a.m. call gets the same attention as a noon call.

I-285, I-75, I-85, I-20, and the Downtown Connector. That includes the I-285 and I-85 junction in DeKalb County that drivers call Spaghetti Junction.

The city itself plus nearby areas such as Buckhead, Midtown, Decatur, East Point, College Park, Sandy Springs, Marietta, and Cobb County. If you are near the edge of the area, call and we will confirm. Browse every neighborhood on our service areas page.

Vehicles

Vehicles and Services

Which trucks we send and what we can move.

A flatbed carries the whole vehicle on a bed. A wheel lift raises two wheels and rolls the other two. Flatbeds are the usual choice for all wheel drive cars, low cars, cars with transmission trouble, and most EVs. See our flatbed towing page for more.

Yes, but usually on a flatbed. Rolling an EV on its drive wheels can damage the motor, so check your manual and tell the dispatcher what you drive.

Yes. We use flatbed equipment sized to the weight and length of the vehicle.

Yes, with heavy duty equipment. Read more on our heavy duty towing page.

Say so on the call. A car that cannot roll needs a flatbed or dollies rather than a simple hook and pull, and we want the right truck on the first trip.

Yes. Jump starts, lockouts, tire changes, and fuel delivery are often possible without a tow. If the driver finds the car cannot be driven, the same visit becomes a tow. See roadside assistance.

Private Property

Private Property Towing

Where to look first when a car is missing from a lot.

Look for the tow sign at the lot. State rules say it must show where to recover the vehicle, what it costs, and which payments are accepted. Call the company on the sign or the property manager and ask where the car went.

If a private company towed it, give them your license plate and the address where you parked. If the city or police took it, contact the Atlanta Police Department or call 311.

Yes, through standing agreements with property managers that follow Georgia rules. Businesses that need tows for their own vehicles can use a commercial account instead. See private property towing.

Before You Call

Before You Call and While You Wait

What to have ready and how to stay safe.

Your location, vehicle type, the problem, the destination, and a phone number. Even partial answers help, and the dispatcher will ask for the rest.

Pull as far from traffic as you can, switch on your hazard lights, and keep your phone on. Near fast traffic, stay inside with your seatbelt fastened. More safety steps are in our roadside assistance guide.
